There are many things you can do to become an expert in communication.

　　When most people think of art, they picture an amazing painting by Picasso or Dali or a breathtaking statue by Michelangelo. Even so, there is art in everything, especially in the way people communicate. Have you ever talked to a person and, even though you both spoke the same _(1)_, had no idea what he or she meant? Or have you ever gone to a store where you didn't anticipate _(2)_ anything but left the shop with a bag full of items that you didn't really need after talking to a salesperson for a moment or two? If you have, you were talked _(3)_ purchasing things because that salesperson was an expert communicator, and you can become one, too.

　　The best way to communicate is to be _(4)_ of the situation. If you need to give a speech to important people, then you need to do your _(5)_ and practice. If you have to tell someone bad news, then being very sensitive and reading up on how to break bad news to people can help. Another key to communication is listening. If you don't listen to what others are saying, you will have no idea how to _(6)_.

　　Every day, people talk to friends, family members, co-workers, and even strangers. It helps to focus on the task at hand when trying to communicate _(7)_. Think about what makes you want to talk with someone else. Is it eye contact? Is it the tone of their voice? Whatever it is, you should also do it when you communicate with others.

沟通的艺术

要成为沟通专家，你有很多事情可以做。

　　大多数人想到艺术时，就会在脑中刻划出一幅毕卡索或达利令人赞叹的画作，或是一座米开朗基罗令人叹为观止的雕像。即便如此，其实任何事情都是一门艺术，尤其是人与人之间的沟通方式。你有没有曾经和一个人交谈，虽然你们讲的是同一种语言，但你却不知道对方在说些什么呢？或是你有没有去过一家商店，原本没有打算要买东西，但是和销售员谈了一会儿之后，却提了满满一大袋不需要的东西离开商店呢？如果你有以上的经验，表示你被说服而买了东西，因为那位销售员是个沟通专家，而其实你也可以成为沟通专家。

　　最好的沟通方式就是要注意你所处的情况。如果你要对重要的人发表演说，你就必须要做好研究和练习。如果你有坏消息必须要告诉某人，那你得非常审慎处理，而且要先学学要如何将不好的消息告诉别人，如此对你可能会有所帮助。另一个沟通的关键就是倾听。如果你都不听别人在说什么，你就不知道要如何做出适当的回应。

　　人们每一天都会和朋友、家人、同事，甚至是陌生人说话。想要适常地沟通时，把重点放在手头上的工作，这样的做法会有所帮助。想想什么事会让你想和别人说话呢？是彼此间的目光接触吗？还是对方说话的音调呢？不论是什么，当你和别人说话的时候也应该要这么做。
