Continued Political Problems in Egypt

　　In July 2013, President Mohammed Morsi of Egypt was removed from power. He was elected almost exactly one year before, but massive protests across Egypt forced him out of the presidency. On the anniversary of his becoming president, millions of Egyptians protested in the streets all over the country. They were not happy with the results of the government and felt that changes to certain laws were unfair.

　　The protests were so large that the Egyptian army stepped in. They told Morsi that he had to do as the Egyptian people were asking or else they would remove him from power. When Morsi refused to step down or make any changes, the military removed him and replaced him with temporary leaders. Even now, Morsi supporters continue to protest.

　　埃及总统穆罕默德．穆希于 2013 年七月遭到罢免。穆希当选总统恰好快要一年，但埃及全国各地大规模的抗议迫使他去职。在穆希当选总统的一周年纪念日当天，全国各地数百万的埃及人在街头抗议。他们不满政府的施政成果，并感到某些法律的改变并不公平。

　　抗议行动的规模大到让埃及军队必须介入干涉。军方告诉穆希，他必须按照埃及人民所要求的来做，否则就会罢免他。当穆希拒绝下台或是做出任何改变，军方免除了其职务并以临时领导人来取代他。即使到了现在，穆希的支持者仍持续地为他抗争。

 

Prince of Cambridge George Alexander Louis

　　The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently announced that they had named their new bundle of joy. The tot will now be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. Many bets were placed as the public waited for the announcement. British bookmakers had George and James as favorites, followed by Alexander, Arthur, Louis, and Henry.

　　The eight-pound-six-ounce boy was born on July 22, 2013. He is third in line, behind Prince Charles and Prince William, to the British throne. As well as ruling the United Kingdom, George Alexander Louis could one day be king of 15 other Commonwealth countries that have the British monarch as head of state if none of them change their constitutions.

 

小王子诞生了

　　剑桥公爵威廉王子夫妇最近宣布他们已经为刚诞生的婴儿取好了名字。这个小宝宝现在将以『剑桥乔治王子殿下』的身份而为人所知。一般大众在等待名字公布的同时下了许多的赌注。英国的博彩公司把乔治和詹姆斯列为最受喜爱的名字，接着则是亚历山大、亚瑟、路易斯以及亨利。

　　这个八磅六盎司重的王子出生于 2013 年七月二十二日。在英国皇位的继承顺位中，他排名第三，仅次于查理王子及威廉王子。如果他们三人当中没有人修改宪法的话，乔治．亚历山大．路易斯有一天除了会统治英国外，也会以英国国王的身份成为其他十五个大英国协国家的君主。
