Angelina Jolie Undergoes Double Mastectomy

　　Actress Angelina Jolie announced in an article in The New York Times recently that she underwent a preventive double mastectomy after learning that she carries a mutation of a gene which sharply increases her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. "My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer although the risk is different in the case of each woman," Jolie wrote. "Once I knew that this was my reality, I decided to be proactive and to minimize the risk as much as I could." A mastectomy is an operation that removes all or part of the breast. Jolie's mother, actress and producer Marcheline Bertrand, died of ovarian cancer in 2007 at the age of 56.

　　女演员安洁莉娜‧裘莉最近在《纽约时报》的一篇文章中表示，她在得知自己体内有会使她罹患乳癌和卵巢癌风险大增的突变基因后，便接受了预防性的双乳切除手术。裘莉在文章中说道，『虽然每个女人罹癌的风险都不尽相同，但我的医生评估我罹患乳癌的机率有百分之八十七，而罹患卵巢癌的机率则有百分之五十。当我知道我的实际状况时，我便决定要积极面对，并且要尽可能地把罹癌的风险减到最低。』乳房切除手术是一种切除全部或部份乳房的手术。裘莉的母亲，身兼演员和制作人的玛丝琳‧伯特兰德在 2007 年因卵巢癌过世，享年五十六岁。

 

Taiwan to Enforce World's Strictest Drunk Driving Law

　　Taiwan entered a zero tolerance era on drunk driving on June 13, 2013, when the world's toughest standards for alcohol levels in motorists went into effect. Under the revised criminal code, motorists will be subject to prosecution if they are caught with a blood alcohol content of 0.05 percent or above.

　　Lin Kuo-hsian, head of the MOTC's Department of Railways and Highways, said the new restrictions are the world's strictest, putting Taiwan on a par with Japan, a country that has zero tolerance for drunk driving. Under the revised criminal code, those who drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be subject to a prison sentence of up to two years and a maximum fine of NT$200,000.

 

全世界最严格的酒驾法规正式上路

　　台湾在 2013 年六月十三日进入了对酒驾行为『零容忍』的时代，在此同时，全世界最严格的驾驶人酒测值标准也正式生效。根据修订后的刑法规定，驾驶人如果被抓到血液中酒精含量在百分之零点零五以上就会遭到起诉。

　　交通部路政司司长林国显表示，这项新的限制是全世界最严格的，也让台湾和日本一样对酒驾行为采取零容忍政策。根据修订后的刑法规定，酒后驾车或是服用药物后驾车最高会被判处两年有期徒刑，且并科最高新台币二十万元的罚金。
